Flash Kids Workbooks
These are wonderful and inexpensive workbooks useful for teaching grades K-6 in the subjects of Math, Language Arts, Writing, Spelling, Test Prep, and Reading.
Flash Kids Gifted and Talented Workbooks
These are great colorful workbooks for the advanced student in the subjects of Reading and Math. They challenge the student in fun way that makes them think. Students can do one page a day all school year long.
Teacher Created Resources
A great website for downloading ebooks of worksheets and activities for students in all subjects for grades K-8. I've only downloaded one book so far mainly because there are so many to choose from it's so hard to decide! I like the download option because it can be used for all children and in the long term saves me money.
Kids Discover Magazine
This is a great resource for children to learn science and social studies. It's a monthly magazine and good value at 10 issues for $19.95. A great gift for grandparents or relatives to give your family! I like to read a page or two to my children on school days. I learn a lot too!
Starfall.com
This is a safe website for young students. It mostly teaches reading and language. I like to put my young children on this website while I assist my older children with their work. They can spend hours on there.
Brainquest
I find Brainquest decks to be very useful for teaching in the car. I keep a container of them in our van for the kids to quiz themselves and each other, including mom and dad.
The Friend
Our family belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Church publishes a children's magazine called The Friend. I like to read them an article or two while we are gathered together for lunch. It teaches scripture, morals, and includes fun activities for children.
